Opatówek is a village of 3800 inhabitants situated 10 km south-east from Kalisz, county (Powiat) of Kalisz County in the province of Wielkopolska, in the centre Poland. The commune (Gmina) of Opatówek, including the village of Opatówek and 26 other villages, has about 10 000 inhabitants and is an agricultural and industrial region.
